If you like to drive, go west on I-20 to south hwy 281. We recommend 4 places: 1. Koffee Kup in Hico, TX (bring cash) Known for their homemade pies and comfort food, the hour and half drive is worth it! Just across the street, stop in at The Wiseman House Chocolate store. On your way there or back, grab up gifts at Gilbert Pecan Co.(intersection of I-20/Hwy 281) and Texas Hill Country Mercantile (look for the massive rocking chair. Lots of good eating and beautiful countryside. Hico is the home of Fort Worth's current mayor.
